Ever heard the saying "From small things, big things grow"? This applies to this opportunity which has recently become available. We are seeking an experienced Dealer Principal or a GM who is ready to take on the role of DP, to effectively grow a dealership from a greenfield site to fully functioning dealership, selling approximately 100 new vehicles / month. Must be innovative and creative in your approach with strong communication skills, proven capability in leading a high performing team and a laser-like focus to achieve beyond all others. Develop the processes and procedures, promote the dealership and be recognised with rewards which could include taking on additional responsibilities for multi-site management as the company expands its retail footprint. An exciting new opportunity for an experienced DEALER PRINCIPAL or GENERAL MANAGER has become available with a global automotive retail dealer group. Based in Sydney, it provides a unique opportunity to manage and grow a dealership from a greenfield site, with a view to further expand the retail footprint locally.

The role will involve managing all aspects for one of their dealership sites, including leading and developing high performing staff as part of the company's pursuit of excellence and the delivery of outstanding sustainable results with a return that exceeds the industry benchmark.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with preference given to those with Top 5 vehicle franchise experience.

Key duties include:

• Responsibility for achieving targets and budgets set for commercial activities
• Be a key contributor to all strategic and business planning processes to meet the Group's objectives
• Driving a culture of performance, accountability and innovation whilst maintaining a high level customer centric environment
• Ensure all objectives, strategies and actions of the plan are implemented, reported on and achieved

Whilst not essential, tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline will be an advantage along with a contemporary approach to retailing utilising the benefits of online channels.

The salary package on offer is commensurate with experience.
