An overview of what each of these assessments provided is below.

Spotlight Personality Assessment

Spotlight provides an understanding and if required, a way to articulate to others, an individual's natural preferences across the following five key competencies below.

  • Your approach to decision making and goal setting
  • The extent to which you engage and consult with others
  • Are you more people-focused or somewhere in between
  • Your approach to work commitments and accountability
  • Your natural response to stress and general outlook on life

Useful applications:

  • Job interviews
  • Approaching a new organisation
  • On-going personal and leadership development

The development-focused report generated, provides individuals with a comprehensive summary of their strengths and weaknesses of their personality profile as well as the frustrations and suggested actions associated with their individual style. Spotlight improves individual learning and development outcomes through heightened self-awareness and action planning.

The four elements of the Spotlight Development Framework are:

  • Strengths: are the positive and productive behaviours that an individual does well that require little effort on their part.
  • Weaknesses: are the less appealing aspects of an individual's style that appear when things are not going well. Note any strength can become a weakness if it is taken to extremes.
  • Frustrations: refer to the adverse reaction an individual may have to another person's behaviour. Frustrations arise because the approach of another person is so different from the individuals own that prolonged exposure to them can trigger the weakness behaviours.
  • Suggested actions: provide the development suggestions that support the individual to understand what they offer and how to change their behaviour to capitalise on the strengths of others and to manage their own on-going personal and leadership development.

Personal Values Inventory

An online questionnaire to discover what your top 10 core values are. Through a series of questions that continually rank statements in order of importance, one can arrive at your top 10 values/motivators, out of a possible 137 different values.

An awareness of your values is important for the following reasons:-

  • Enables an understanding of what motivates and is important to you as an individual.
  • Useful in understanding why certain people, situations or environments may cause internal conflicts or may be demotivating.
  • Can help guide your future career/employer choices.
