{"id":644,"date":"2014-05-08T00:00:57","date_gmt":"2014-05-08T00:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oryxpeople.com.au\/?p=644"},"modified":"2025-03-10T03:13:47","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T03:13:47","slug":"holden-signs-multi-year-deal-to-stay-in-v8-supercars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oryxpeople.com.au\/holden-signs-multi-year-deal-to-stay-in-v8-supercars\/","title":{"rendered":"Holden Signs Multi-Year Deal To Stay In V8 Supercars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In welcome news for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.v8supercars.com.au\/\">Australian V8 Supercar<\/a>\u00a0fans,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.holden.com.au\/\">Holden<\/a>\u00a0has signed a multi-year deal to continue its partnership agreement with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.redbullracingaustralia.com\/\">Red Bull Racing Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fans had wondered if Holden\u2019s looming departure from Australian manufacturing would also mean the end of the iconic brand\u2019s involvement with Australian touring car racing, especially with their contracts with the Holden Racing Team (HRT) and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.redbullracingaustralia.com\/\">Red Bull Racing Australia<\/a>\u00a0due to finish this December.<\/p>\n<p>But\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.holden.com.au\/\">Holden<\/a>\u00a0has today confirmed that the Red Lion will continue to compete at Bathurst and that it will remain involved in the sport after manufacturing goes offshore in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Holden\u2019s impressive team includes current champion Jamie Whincup and Bathurst 1000 legend Craig Lowndes.
