Reflecting this focus, a single car has won both \u201cWorld Car Design of the Year\u201d and \u201cWorld Green Car of the Year\u201d at the 2014 show \u2013 the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmw.com\/com\/en\/newvehicles\/i\/i3\/2013\/showroom\/index.html?noredir=1\">BMW i3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In winning World Green Car of the Year, BMW\u2019s\u00a0i3 was commended for its battery system which offers a range of up to 160km off a single charge with zero tailpipe emissions.<\/p>\n<p>And as if that wasn\u2019t enough, the i3 \u2013 with its \u2018nearly silent driving experience\u2019 \u2013 also claimed the World Car Design of the Year. Its unique blend of reinforced plastic and carbon fibre allows the i3 to wield a light weight chassis that doesn\u2019t compromise the size of the vehicle.
